Want to stay lean, but not really sure where to start? We caught up with Pilates Instructor Laura Halls to pick her brain on how she does it!
"I try to exercise 5 times a week mixing up weights, cardio, and Pilates.
This helps my body to stay strong and toned but also lean. I Wouldn't say I have a certain secret, living a fit and healthy lifestyle can be very easy if you stay motivated and enjoy it. Its all about finding what you love and what works for your body.
I also try to drink a lot of water each day and get enough sleep!"
Best booty exercise: One leg glute bridges and barbell squats.
Favourite abs exercise: TRX mountain climbers and bosu ball situps. Works a treat!
Laura lives by the 80/20 rule. During the week she eats a lot of protein and veggies, and on the weekend she eats a little naughty like pasta to keep her sane!

Ladies, the weather is heating up which means bikini season is just around the corner! There’s already temptations of replacing gym sessions with beach walks. However, giving up resistance training could cause more damage than you think! Why resistance train?
Resistance training is crucial to maintaining a proper fitness routine. Your muscles will waste away without it. Once you’ve hit your twenties, muscle loss increases rapidly unless you work to maintain or build it. if you don’t use it, you lose it.
Only a few weeks off resistance training can cause muscle loss (if you’ve ever broken a bone you would already know this!).

When you know exactly what you want and it is honestly IMPORTANT to you... the motivation comes easy. You won’t make excuses and you’ll find ways to make it happen.
